The Roadless Land Rover 109, or Forest Rover as it was also known as, was launched in
1961 and sold a whopping total of nine vehicles before being taken off the market. Trials
conducted in 1960 showed this vehicle with 48" diameter wheels and tires to have "astonishing
performance" in any terrain.
The question that begs to be asked - Did Land Rover create the world's first Monster Truck? After
all, Bob Chandler did not develop 'Big Foot' until the mid 70's.
